About the 1940s Wartime Weekend
The Great Central Railway in Leicestershire will be bringing the 1940s back to life this June, with an evocative commemoration of life in wartime Britain.
Experience live music, vintage flypasts, a remembrance service, poppy displays, mock battles and hundreds of re-enactors. Dance to the music gone by and take a train into occupied territory. You could even come dressed for the period! More information is available at Great Central Railway’s website.
