AHurricane question

Am I correct in thinking that a few Hurricanes during the B of B carried cannons instead of the usual eight Briwning nachine guns? I've scoured myvarious reference books but can find no definite answer. Socan I pick your collective brains please? If someHurricanes were armed this way what about any Spitfires odr did they have to wait for later marks like the V a fewyears later on?
