Official Club calendar 2025 – May photo

During 2025 we are presenting the image from the Club calendar in the newsletter for that month, with some details about the picture, including when and where the photo was taken. All the photos in the calendar were taken by Club members.

For May we chose this delightful shot of BBMF clipped-wing, low-back Spitfire MK XVI TE311 in its current 322 (Dutch) Squadron markings, taken by Club member Adam Chester.

Adam tells us: 

“This shot of TE311 was captured just up the road from Braintree at Cressing Temple Barns during the Temple at War weekend on 10/11th May 2024, standing in the car parking area for an unrestricted view due to trees inside and around the venue. I was using a Nikon D7200 with a Nikon 200-500mm lens zoomed to 450mm at f10, ISO 100, 1/250s and I edited it with a little work in Adobe Lightroom.”
