The briefing room in the BBMF headquarters at RAF Coningsby has recently been completely refurbished by ‘self-help’ DIY with the funding provided by the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club. The briefing room is used to brief all the pilots and crews flying BBMF sorties, for ground training sessions and other general Flight briefings. It is, therefore, an important part of the BBMF operations.
The project was led by BBMF Sergeant Mikey Streather and included painting the walls, laying new flooring, new furniture including a lectern for the briefing officer, a white board and relevant displays, a new computer-connected smart TV screen and a GPS digital clock for accurate time checks.
This is exactly the sort of improvement to the BBMF infrastructure, which is vital to the team’s operations, which would not be possible without the support provided by Official Club members. Thank you.
