IBCC poppy prize

Win an IBCC poppy

For this month’s Club members’ ballot prize, one lucky Club member will win a

We will randomly select one Club member to win the prize.

About the prize

The VE 80 Project at the International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) at Lincoln honoured VE Day with various events last year including an installation of stunning handcrafted ceramic poppies, shaped into a Lancaster Bomber. Over 20,000 unique poppies were part of the exhibition which ran from Easter until the end of August.

The Lancaster Poppy Display at the IBCC was created by artist Darius Sirmulevicius, originally from Lithuania but now living in Kirton, Lincolnshire.

Following the installation each poppy sculpture was sold to raise money for charity.

Club member, Bob Giddings, has kindly donated one of the poppies as a Club prize.

The poppy comes with a certificate of authenticity, information about Darius Sirmelevicius, and a stand.

This prize would be an absolutely stunning addition to anyone's BBMF collection.

Please note, as usual, there is no cash or merchandise alternative to the prize and the prize cannot be transferred to another Club member.
